There are many negative effects that follow the use of MSG. From health problems such as headaches and numbness to environmental problems of MSG being sprayed onto produce. Fortunately MSG is not used as much as it was before but its still majorly used in Asia and even though its said to be harmful toward to body the FDA and the WHO have given it a pass for safety. Scientists have conducted experiments for safety purposes and found that most people that were conscious of the MSG said they experienced to symptoms but those that were not conscious of it had no negative reaction to it at all.

If people do experience symptoms the first thing to do is to drink lots of water to flush it out of your system and stop using it as a seasoning. However to fully avoid these effects substitute MSG for another type of seasoning such as soy sauce, salt, pepper, etc.
